An immersive dance experience for autistic young people (aged 14-24)

On Thursday 12th August at 4.30 pm, Matthew Rawcliffe (BBC Young Dancer finalist 2019) and a group of artists will be opening up the doors of St George's Garrison Church for an open rehearsal of Crisp Sandwich Cafe!

The Crisp Sandwich Cafe is an immersive dance experience for autistic young people (aged 14-24), looking at the climate crisis through a lens of hope and joy - a callout to do more gardening and recycle your crisp packets.

The space will be set up as The Crisp Sandwich Cafe with tables and chairs around the main performance space, the audience will meet Kev and Jen who will share stories about themselves, the cafe and its visitors - all linked in some way to our relationship to the planet. It will be an eclectic mix of stories from a tutorial for making crips at home to a local politician who frequents the cafe. All stories will be told through a mix of text, dance and song.

Running Time: 30 minutes. With 5-10 minutes at the start for people to familiarise /look around space.
