Drylands @ St George's Garrison Church

Follow the Young Company to the arid landscapes of Brazil and discover a beautiful, poetic and powerful story that is usually untold...
We are launching the Tramshed Young Company (TYC) for 16 to 20 years old with a beautiful, poetic and powerful Brazilian play Drylands by Newton Moreno.
The play: Based on real facts, Drylands is a narrative poem about love and poverty set in an arid landscape that has nothing to do with the beaches in Rio or the Amazon forest that seem to represent Brazil. It is a powerful poetic manifest, a fable about intolerance, prejudice and ignorance.
Age restriction: 15+ | This production includes the explicit language of a sexual nature, implied violence and potentially distressing themes.
The team:
Directed by Andre Pink with Alessandra Davison
Translated by Mark O'Thomas

Stage Manager: Nathalia Kheldouni
