Our Ambassadors support and champion the work we do at Tramshed!
‘Every child deserves to enjoy the arts and discover their own unique creativity. In 1972 I joined Greenwich Young People’s Theatre (now Tramshed), which I absolutely loved. I was twelve years old and it was the making of my childhood and led to a life-long career spent in the arts. I am deeply grateful that this wonderful organisation shaped me, and I am deeply impressed that it continues to cherish and inspire young people today.’
‘I’m delighted to be an Ambassador for such a vibrant, forward-looking arts centre that does so much to help young people in South London. Writing and story-telling have been my lifeline for as long as I can remember and I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with young artists and emerging companies in this great venue.’
‘I decided to become a Young Creative Ambassador to make sure raw talent has the room and freedom to thrive. Tramshed gave me the skills for Drama School and beyond and I’m glad the opportunity is available for others to utilise. My life would be very different if I hadn’t walked through those doors when I did.’
Tomi Ogbaro is an Actor and Musician who trained at the Rose Bruford School of Theatre and Performance. Since graduating in 2018 he has been working across stage and screen.
‘As someone who has worked extensively in the performing arts, I have seen how drama, music and other creative disciplines can bring communities together and help young people realise their potential. Tramshed are doing vital work in this area and I am delighted to be an Ambassador’.
