Sun 10 July | Take a short walk with Naomi Cortes the story teller and discover a wonder of stories with an environmental twist.

Take a short walk with Naomi Cortes the story teller and discover a wonder of stories with an environmental twist.

Naomi is a commissioned writer with the Young Vic. Her first play The Littlest Quirky, a story of magic and self-discovery for young children was shortlisted for the Brian Way Award. Her inclusive approach engages young people from various backgrounds including Special Educational Needs and EAL. She is also a lecturer in Applied Theatre at Central School of Speech and Drama and is associated with various London schools who participate in her Primary Poetry and LAMDA Examination Programme.

In the name of theatre, she has bounced on trampolines, mischievously scrambled up wardrobes and emerged through secret trapdoors. Singing Zulu lullabies, she has gurgled greetings to other planetary creatures. And she has even leapt out of a giant’s hat and hung upside-down whilst cuddling a baby mugglewump!
