Bukky Leo is a saxophonist who was discovered by Tony Allen while practicing in Lagos. He went on to play with Fela Kuti before pursuing his own unique blend of jazz and afrobeat. In the 1980s, Bukky moved back to London and became a pioneer of the acid jazz scene. He formed the band Black Egypt, which gained recognition as one of the most important afro-beat groups outside Nigeria.
Bukky Leo's legacy as a trailblazer for afro-jazz and acid jazz has left a lasting impact on the Nigerian and global music scenes. His unique sound and blend of genres have influenced a wide range of artists, from Nigerian afro-beat legend Femi Kuti to contemporary jazz musicians such as Kamasi Washington. Today, Bukky continues to tour and collaborate with other artists, and his contribution to the music industry remains significant and enduring.

Moussa Dembele is a multi-talented musician and griot from Burkina Faso and Mali, known for his captivating and contemporary West African music project called Koroleko. He is a skilled master craftsman of African instruments and a music teacher who comes from a family of musicians and craftsmen. Dembele has toured extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, particularly with his band Koroleko. He has collaborated with musicians from various genres and also taught in the Music Department of Ghana University.
