Whatever Makes You Happy 10 - 14

Wed 20th September 2023 - Wed 3rd July 2024

For 10 - 14 year-olds.

Whatever Makes You Happy is a wellbeing drama group, led by experienced mental health focussed drama practitioners, enabling self-esteem and confidence building through play and theatre making. The group is there to support the needs of all its members, lending pastoral and creative support, with the aim of increasing positive wellbeing and connection between its young people. A safe and fun space currently for ages 10-14, the group would be suitable for those with SEN, behavioural issues or struggling with school, low in confidence, children going through transition (year 6 pupils moving to secondary), children in care or at risk, those working with a social worker, those on waiting lists or under supervision of CAMHS and mental health interventions.

In a typical session, the young people will take part in drama games and exercises, drawing and making mess, story telling, writing, as well as performance and confidence boosting events and activities. The group has a designated pastoral support worker to help all of the young people within the group each week and beyond.

If you have any questions about the suitability of any young person for the group or if you want to refer a young person, please email participation@tramshed.org. If you are a parent / guardian of child who you think could use a bit of support, please feel free to reach out to us also
