NT Connections 2023 - Taking Part

Opportunity for Young Actors and Theatre Technicians

Connections is the National Theatre's annual, nationwide youth theatre festival. The programme has been established for 27 years with a celebrated history of championing the talent of young people from across the UK.

This year, a young company from Tramshed will be performing The Heights by Lisa McGee.

The company will be made of a young cast (15-19 years old) directed by a young emerging director (18-24 years old) and will be worked on by a young Theatre Technician (18-24 years old) creating opportunities for local young people with a love for theatre. 

There are two ways young people can still be part of our Youth Company:

Cast Auditions and Commitment

Calling all young actors aged 15-19* in Woolwich and south east London. We are holding open call auditions for out NT Connections 2023 production The Heights by Lisa McGee.

Second Auditions will take place on Saturday 18th February between 2-4pm.

The Rehearsal and Production period will be across the Easter Holidays with cast called from Monday 3rd-Saturday 8th April, and Monday 10th-Friday 14th April.

Performances will be on Saturday 15th April at 3pm & 7pm. The production will be additionally performed as part of the NT Connections Festival on Saturday 22nd April at 7:30pm the Tramshed.
