Metro GAD and Tramshed Performing Arts Project
Thu 1st September 2022 - Mon 31st July 2023
A steering group for performers who identify as being d/Deaf, disabled, or having a learning disability.
Are you interested in shaping a creative project that will challenge perspectives and opinions on disability?
Are you a creative-minded individual?
Would you like to be a part of a new steering group?
Metro GAD and Tramshed are putting together a group for a Performing Arts project for those who identify as being d/Deaf, disabled, or having a learning disability.
The steering group will be formed of people who:
· Are aged 18+
· Identify as neurodivergent, d/Deaf or having a disability
· Are interested in learning new skills and boosting confidence
· Have an interest in performing arts (theatre, dance, music & more!)
The steering group will meet about once per month, and will take part in conversations and workshops to explore their own lived experiences with disability, and how this could be presented to neurotypical & non-disabled audiences.
Steering group members will also have access to FREE tickets to exciting shows, Q&As with industry professionals, and other exclusive offers.
Please note that this is an unpaid role, but we can support with expenses where needed.
The first meeting will be at the end of September or start of October - time, date and location TBC
