20 young and emerging companies will showcase their freshly made, digitally savvy work in a 3 day festival spanning digital platforms like Twitter, Zoom, Instagram and Twitch. Digitally Charged marks a regeneration moment in the performing arts industry and challenges the idea of what theatre and live performance can be in our new socially distant and technologically reliant world.
The festival includes shows that have toured to national acclaim such as Claire Gaydons ‘See-Through’ a show about being a YouTuber that will be performed digitally for the first time; and work created during lockdown embracing the new technology we have come to rely on for connection.
The festival has been curated by Andre Pink Tramshed’s Progression Producer, who works to develop learning and creative opportunities for young and emerging artists aged 16 - 25.
This festival will be free to watch, but we encourage you to donate the cost of a ticket to support these artists, and to support the Tramshed to continue to be able to offer new and meaningful opportunities.
This donation campaign will support these artists at a time where there are few opportunities in the sector. With your kind donations we can deliver this work, platform these artists, and ensure they are remunerated for their work.
